HR Epoxy did an amazing job transforming our flood-damaged downstairs into a lovely, clean living space.
The job itself was a bit tricky, as there was no waterproof membrane, and a lot of damage to the slab itself. HR Epoxy were super accommodating, and made sure ensure their work was timed to fit with the slab being dried, so there was no risk of it becoming moist between trades.
It was a big job. The slab was very discoloured and needed a lot of grinding back. They needed to apply a waterproof membrane to prevent a recurrence of the previous issues. There were lots of intricate areas under the stairwell and around existing fittings that needed time and patience...
The attention to detail is awesome! Tight areas have been finished properly, the flakes have been spread evenly, and the progression from room to room is seamless.
HR Epoxy were awesome to deal with, really professional, put in long days to get the job done, and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend!! The pictures speak for themselves...

01Can the downstairs of a raised Queenslander be coated?
Often, yes. Slabs poured in under raised houses may not have a waterproof membrane beneath them, so moisture is checked first and a membrane goes down where it's needed.
After that it gets the same flake finish as any other floor.
02How long after a flood can a floor be coated?
There's no set time. The slab has to dry out properly, and a moisture check decides when it's ready rather than the calendar.
